When a dog loses the track scent, the dog casts, re-orients, and recommits to the correct direction of travel, with handler support via line management.

Where it appears in the sport

L1 TRK Tracking Accuracy scoring rewards recovery ability. Especially critical at L2 and L3 where tracks are older and terrain more variable.
