Dog demonstrates recognition of one of the five K9 Elements approved odors (Anise, Clove, Vetiver, Birch, or Myrrh) presented in a K9E-standard scent tin.

Where it appears in the sport

Foundation for every detection behavior. Per rulebook §4.4, K9 Elements uses a standardized 3"×3" perforated steel scent tin with scent-saturated cotton swab.
